Cinematic Language
On the Creation Engine command bar, five cinematic buttons add professional directing language without replacing your written prompt:
| Button | Category | Examples of what you pick |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | Shot design & motion | Framing, movement, lens feel |
| Lighting | Mood & contrast | Key/fill, practicals, time of day |
| Composition | Frame geometry | Balance, depth, leading lines |
| Atmosphere | Ambient tone | Weather, haze, particles |
| Style | Film grammar | Grade, era, genre look |
How it works
- Click a category button — a picker opens with curated options (from
cinematic-language-controlscatalog) - Select one or more chips
- Selections appear as chips above the bar (
Applied model settingsarea may also list them) - On Generate, MediaSnap merges cinematic language into the provider request as hidden directing text
Your main prompt bar stays your story direction; cinematic picks add camera department detail.
vs Director Controls
| Cinematic language | Director Controls | |
|---|---|---|
| Where | Five toolbar icons on CE bar | Model settings modal (video models) |
| Style | Curated language chips | Sliders & presets (motion, consistency, etc.) |
| Doc | This page | Director Controls |
Use both for video — avoid repeating the same idea in prompt and every control.
