Creation Engine: Cast & Set Chips
When you use the Creation Engine with an active project, the cast and sets strip shows thumbnails from Elements. Clicking a chip inserts that name into your prompt in a predictable way.
(Legacy UI may label this “Project Kit.”)
Placeholders (recommended)
Use these exact tokens in your prompt (case-sensitive):
| Token | Use for |
|---|---|
[character] |
A cast member from Elements (character chip) |
[environment] |
A set / location from Elements (environment chip) |
How replacement works
- Each character chip click finds the first remaining
[character]in your prompt and replaces only that occurrence with the clicked name. - Each environment chip does the same for
[environment].
Example
- Prompt:
A shot of [character] in [environment] - Click character Zylox →
A shot of Zylox in [environment] - Click environment Neon City →
A shot of Zylox in Neon City
Repeated placeholders
Prompt: [character] meets [character] in [environment]
- First character chip → replaces the first
[character] - Second character chip → replaces the next
[character] - Environment chip → replaces
[environment]
If you are not using placeholders
When there is no matching [character] or [environment] left, the Creation Engine uses this order:
- Selected text — Highlighted text in the prompt is replaced by the clicked name.
- Last caret position — Inserts at the last cursor position in the prompt.
- End of prompt — Appends the name (with a space when needed) if no caret was set.
Caret and selection update when you focus, click, type, or leave the prompt field.
Tips
- Build templates with placeholders, then fill them by clicking chips in order
- Names in prompts can also trigger auto-reference attachment without placeholders — see Reference Images
- Character-only studio modes may hide the cast/set strip; this guide applies to standard Creation Engine with a project
