Director Studio Picker
The Director Studio tool on the Creation Engine bar (clapperboard icon) opens a modal to pull structure from your active project into the prompt bar.
Label in code: segments — user-facing tabs may still say “Scenes” in places; treat them as chapters.
Tabs in the modal

| Scenes / chapters | List of chapters — click to set handoff and load shot direction into the bar |
| Cast | Insert cast member names/snippets into the prompt (append) |
| Locations | Insert set/location names/snippets into the prompt (append) |
Chapters tab (main workflow)
- Open the picker with a project selected
- Click a chapter (scene row)
- Creation Engine sets generator handoff (
scene_id) - Shot direction loads into the prompt bar
- Generate and attach to the shot
This connects GENERATE back to PLAN without leaving the page.
Cast & locations tabs
- Insert adds text to your direction (append)
- Use with
[character]/[environment]placeholders — see Cast & Set Placeholders - Pair with reference decks for visuals
If the modal is empty
- Confirm a project is open (project menu)
- Add chapters on Director Board first
